I've had the thought of painting some of the other rooms in our house for a while now. Finally I got the itch to just do it! Thankfully since I am really not supposed to be "painting", this past weekend I kinda helped my sweet mom and neighbor, Amy, do all the hard work. We painted the kitchen, wall of the fireplace, and the dining room. It was an all day project, and can't believe that we got it all done! So here is the project....

Looks awesome (painting). :) I am jealous of all that good fair food. P.S. I think it is kind of a secret (from my dad) but I am coming to LA for Thanksgiving. Did you say you would or would not make it?
Those colors look great! Love it! You're smart to put down plastic everywhere, too. I painted our little hallway on Sunday and just put down the 2-foot-wide dropcloths...and then of course dropped the paintbrush right on the part of the carpet that was NOT covered in plastic. Brilliant. Thank goodness for sharp razors that can slice dried paint away from the top layer of carpet! Now it just looks kinda bad instead of horrible! :)
